Idukki
        Consisting of undulating hills and valleys,Idukki district is rich in flora and founa. Thedistrict is also the "Power House" of the state, as about 60% of the States power needs are fulfilled by the hydro-electric power station at moolattom .The Idukki Arch-Dam built on the periyar river is first of its kind in the country. Tea industry is the main industry of the district .Pepper is the most important commodity produced and exported from Idukki.

ERAVIKULAM-RAJAMALA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY:-The famous sanctuary near munnar is accessible by road,just 4km from munnar.Here is the home of the Nilgiri tahr,besides elephent,tiger,leopard,Nilgiri Tahr,lion-tailed macaque and giant squirrel.
